Baby Love

2 weeks until our baby boy gets here!  We are very excited and have been blessed with support from our friends and family.  We know this boy is going to be very loved and we can't wait for him to meet everyone.  These past couple of months we have been able to celebrate his upcoming arrival and we couldn't be more thankful to everyone for making this time in our lives so special.

My girlfriends threw us the cutest shower ever!  The theme was "Little Man Dickinson" and there were lots of mustaches and manly decor!

A baby on the way
Beautiful weather
Really really yummy food
Movie watching and relaxing
Fun and laughter
The beginning of the holiday season

Also, I made these for Thanksgiving and they were a hit! I have made sausage balls before but this recipe is my favorite so far. I love when I find a good easy recipe on Pinterest!

30 Weeks

Here we are at 30 weeks (almost 31!!!)  I can't believe that we are already at the 10 week countdown!  I am so excited for this little guy to get here!  I can't wait to hold him, see what he looks like and have a new best friend living in our house.  In the months ahead we have lots of doctors appointments, some baby showers and birthing classes.  Oh, and the holidays!  Lots of good stuff to look forward to and I am so thankful for it all!

40-60

This is a big week for my parents!  They are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary and my Dad is turning the big 6-0!  My parents went to school together in Wellston and were high school sweethearts.  I love their story and I especially love this picture from their wedding day.  My mom's hair is ah-mazing and my Dad's sideburns are pretty groovy.  I love it!

Michael and I had them over for dinner to celebrate these major milestones.  We grilled out and I surprised them with a mini wedding cake for dessert. The Happy Couple Today:

Me and the 28 week baby bump..and dark hair!

And finally, our little family including Norma Jean

25 Weeks

Hey-O!  We are at 25 weeks!  Everything has been all about baby around here and I love it.  The most exciting development so far is that Michael can finally feel the baby move!  I have been able to feel him move for awhile but now his kicks are powerful enough to be felt from the outside.  I already know that I am going to miss that feeling after January!

As for the nursery...we have a lot of work to do!  We got the crib in a couple of weeks ago and finally picked out the bedding.  Our colors are gray, light blue and white.  We get the bedding in November and I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Top Left: Currently Reading:  A lot of baby books
Top Right:  Trying to balance out my burger cravings with some healthy meals
Bottom Left: Fabric for Crib Bedding
Bottom Right:  A cute onsie my husband bought at a Phish concert...  Little Baby Dickinson just might be a Little Baby Hippie.

Maternity Munchies

The Baby made me do it...

My preggo belly LOVES burgers.  Before pregnancy I could care less about burgers... or steak... or meat in general.  But now, about once a week I want a burger.  And I want one bad.  I have recently been on the quest to find the best burger in OK.  The one above is from Tuckers and it just might get the award from me.  It was amazing. So amazing I talked about it for days and then decided to blog about it...

Please let me know your favorite burger! The belly and I would love to try it out!

Year ONE

It’s been awhile…but I’m back!

On Monday Michael and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary!  I can’t believe it has already been a year.    It has flown by...

Highlights of Year ONE:

The biggest and best highlight of this year, and probably any year, is that we are having a baby!  A baby boy to be exact = )  Here is a picture from the night we told my parents the good news.

We're having our first baby!!!  This picture is my favorite.   It cracks me up every time I look at it.  I love Michael’s face!

Our baby boy will be here in January and we have been growing and growing.  Here are some pictures of the bump and me.

We built a house and moved in!

Michael completed his Master’s Degree at OBU, traveled to China for a his International Business Final and got a new job.  Yay Honey!  Here is Michael at the Great Wall.  Sidenote:  I think my husband is pretty cute = )

He also ate a scorpion in China. I HAD to include this because I couldn’t believe he actually did it.

We celebrated weddings, birthdays and holidays with family and friends!

Easter Brunch with my favorite guys!

All fancied up for a beautiful Wedding

The Dickinson/Garrison Crew

Another Fun Wedding

Birthday Celebration!

And Norma Jean turned five!  I insisted on a photo shoot to commemorate the milestone, but I don’t think she was in to it.

It has been a wonderful/crazy year and I couldn’t be more thankful that I get to have many many more with my husband and best friend.

Valentine's Day: Mr. Edition

This is Michael and I on our first Valentine’s Day together.  I love looking at it and remembering how excited I was to be spending Valentine’s with him… and how I looked everywhere for that dress!  It’s funny how it was only a couple of years ago but I think we look so young...
That year we went out for a fancy dinner, but now have ended up making a tradition of staying in on the holiday.  Along with this has come the tradition of heart shaped meat (rib-eye that is).  It is the perfect combination that makes both me (the lover of all mushy V-Day stuff) and Michael (the lover of meat) happy on Valentine’s Day.  I get the meat at Rhett’s Meat Market and it is delicious (and cute).  So if the saying is true that the only way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, I think this dinner is just perfect.
I’m thinking about ending the meal with something sweet from Whole Foods…because you have to have chocolate on Valentine’s.  It’s a rule.  If I get brave I might even try to bake something myself…
I am beyond thankful to be spending Valentine’s with my HUSBAND this year.  Someday I know we will end up like this. Love you Michael  = )

Valentine's Day: Norma Jean Editon

I love Valentine's Day.  I just do.  It's a great excuse to show the people you love how much they mean to you... even your furry friends.

This past weekend I made a stop at The Barking Dog Bakery in OKC.  I wasn't planning to stop, but as I drove down May Avenue their cute Valentine's Day display caught my eye.  The doggy bakery offers homemade doggy treats, Birthday cakes (I'm thinking one is a must for Norma's 5th B-Day celebration in June.  Mark your calendars)  frozen yogurt and....  special Valentine's day treats for your pup.  It is a super cute little spot and I think Norma Jean really enjoys the cookies... I know Norma Jean really enjoys the cookies.

I am also thinking about splurging on a new collar for Norm, and I think Valentine's Day will be the perfect time to do so. I've had a hard time finding cute collars for big dogs, but came across these from My Mascot  and I think they are perfect. And preppy. And pretty.
